Wig Wednesday (21st May - 21st May)
On Wednesday 21st May, The BIG Sheep family attraction in Bideford will be donating £1 to CLIC Sargent for every visitor who comes to their attraction wearing a wig.
Wig Wednesday on 21st May is an innovative fundraising idea instigated by the children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent to raise vital funds to support children and young people affected by cancer and their families.
Every day, 10 children and young people in the UK hear the shocking news they have cancer. CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families and relies on community fundraising events to help them support and help children and young people to cope with cancer and get the most out of life.
Nicola Hall, event’s co-ordinator at the BIG Sheep is looking forwarding to hosting this inaugural event and says, ‘When I received details of Wig Wednesday from CLIC Sargent I felt The Big Sheep had perfect synergy with this amazing charity and wanted to get involved with this fun idea. We are in the business to entertain children and families and unfortunately some children and young people who are suffering from cancer are unable to enjoy life to the full so it will be great to be able to raise funds for CLIC Sargent and support their work so they can give children and young people in their care a better quality of life.’
So why don’t don your favourite wig for the day and transform your image and enjoy a fun day out whilst helping to raise the profile of CLIC Sargent and they work they do as well as raising vital funds for this special children’s charity.
