I just had to praise the Big Sheep for the quality of their staff. Every single person working there was incredibly friendly and helpful, from 'Still John' and Pete, who did the displays to the lady in the shop and the guy doing some maintenance near the rollercoaster, who had a chat while I was trying to get some photos
"A Top Notch Day Out!"

My family and I went yesterday to the "toddler takeover" day with quite nicely coincided with our holiday. From start to finish my kids loved it. There was crafts in the barn which we did in the morning, which there was plenty to do. Little car to ride about on, remote control cars and R2D2's (obviously I allowed myself to get carried away). Definitely plenty of things to keep kids entertained like a soft play area, lamb feeding, sheep racing, duck herding, tractor rides, my daughter couldn't get enough of the rollercoaster too. All staff were friendly and were entertaining with what they did, it was good to see that Will (who I thought was the spitting image of Bruno mars) took it in his stride and with a smile on his face, he must get it every day!
Lastly, try the onsite brewery! Beer is amazing and the lady behind the counter what lovely!
Thanks for a great day out!

We are down in Devon for a family holiday and were recommended The Big Sheep. Having looked at the website we noticed that they were having a "toddler takeover day" with extra activities for young children and a much reduced entrance fee. What a bargain! The whole family got in for £5 per person and we all loved it.
There were lots of farm activities (barn full of animals, a tractor ride round the farm, pony rides etc), interesting shows (a dog herding ducks, lamb feeding, a sheep race etc), some rides (a rollercoaster that we couldn't get our daughter off, a carousel, pedalo's, a twister ride etc), a large indoor soft play area, an outside play area, 2 cafes plus all the extra activities put on as part of the toddler takeover day.
The highlight of the day for my 4 year old daughter was definitely the rollercoaster, whereas my 10 month old son liked the soft play and seeing the animals best. The adults all liked the sheep race and the duck trial (plus the free samples from the onsite brewery!).
The staff were all lovely, with a particular shout out to John, Will and the lady in the brewery

Fabulous day out for all ages, sheep show is hilarious with some of the sheep being naughty and other encouraging the naughties it is so funny to see sheep give a paw for food. There are other shows with sheep dogs and the lambs were adorable. Rides for the kids beautiful walks and places to eat oh and a micro brewery. Fab day.

We went at Easter with our 5 kids all under 10 years old & had a wonderful day. There's lots to do to keep young & old entertained throughout the day. I didn't realise they have their own brewery onsite, they do a tour and talk. I went to that while my husband brought the kids to a sheep show & I had to have a beer in the sunshine while I waited for their show to end, tough work!
There's big thrill rides like a roller coaster and twister and lots of other rides for the younger kids to enjoy. My 5 year old really loved getting up close to the sheep and feeding the lambs. It was a lovely relaxed day full of fun not at all like the usual frenzied day spent at a theme park. There's a real friendly atmosphere in the park and the staff are amazing especially Zach, Will & Aaron as they all helped or chatted to us during our visit.
