Coronavirus FAQs

01. Why have you been closed?

The BIG Sheep has been temporarily closed under government guidance due to an outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid-19). We closed on Monday, 23rd March 2020.

02. Is it safe for you to reopen?

We are continually reviewing our reopening plan according to the latest government advice and will only open if it is considered safe to do so.

A number of new measures have been put in place at the park and we will not be reopening as usual, i.e. indoor spaces will remain closed. All our staff have also undergone Covid-19 specific training in order to keep you safe on site.

Please read below and see our Coronavirus guidance for further information on these measures.

03. What new measures are you putting in place to keep me safe?

The BIG Sheep will have a number of health and safety measures in place to make sure your visit is a happy, safe one. We’ve put together a handy guide so you can know what to expect – click here to read.

Some of our key measures including the following:

  1. Reduced capacity on site, managed by a pre-booking system to control the number of visitors.
  2. Additional hand washing facilities around the park.
  3. New one-way systems and no-hands door pulls on all our doorways.
  4. Increased cleaning around the site.
  5. Use of contactless systems at all payment points.
  6. Opening of additional outdoor areas to enable you to enjoy the park while keeping safe and ensuring social distancing.

04. What are you doing about toilets?

We are operating a new policy whereby only two people, or one group, is allowed into our toilet blocks at any one time.

05. Can we bring our own food?

Yes absolutely! As before, you are welcome to bring your own food to eat in our field, marked out with new safe social spaces for you and your family to enjoy. Alternatively, food will be available from our two kiosks on site.

06. Will Ewetopia be open when I arrive?

It is with regret that Ewetopia must remain closed until further notice in order to ensure the safety of all adults and children on site.

07. What about rides and shows?

Our rides are also closed for the time being until we are confident that we can operate them safely and hygienically. As soon as they’re open again we’ll let you know!

Regarding shows, please check our show page for further information. If there is something you really want to do or see we always recommend calling in advance to check our daily schedules.

08. I have an annual membership which I paid for upfront – what will happen to it?

Our season ticket holders will have their memberships automatically extended by the same length of time for which the park will have been shut for once we reopen. You will receive an email letting you know your new expiry date.

09. What if I pay for my membership on a monthly basis?

There are two options:

  1. Your membership will automatically extend, unless you let us know that you would prefer option 2:
  2. We can offer you credit to spend on site in the amount paid out while the park has been closed. We ask that you please notify of us this BEFORE arriving on site so we can have it ready.

10. Can I buy a new membership now?

Of course! An annual membership is £40 for adults and children over 3ft, while pay monthly memberships incur an upfront payment of £13.95 followed by 11 payments of £3 per month. This is a great deal, especially if you live locally and are likely to be visiting us many times over the coming months.

11. I’ve bought a ticket for an event organised by The BIG Sheep – what will happen to my ticket?

Your tickets will be automatically transferred over to the new event date if one has been organised. You will be contacted about this; alternatively please email [email protected] letting us know what event you have purchased tickets for, along with your reference number, and we will advise.

12. I booked general admission tickets to visit The BIG Sheep – will these be extended?

Yes, general admission tickets will be extended to December 31st 2021. For queries regarding other ticket types including VIP passes and tickets purchased via The Voice, please email [email protected]
